Its been two weeks..............

Okay, so I guess technically, on my last post, it HASN'T been 3 weeks since I've been here in Chuncheon cuz its the 27th today, which is 14 days after my last post, which is two weeks...........which means I've been here..............5 weeks????

No. Stop.Rewind.

I arrived on the 28th of Feb...........today is the 27th of March so few more days and it'll officially be a month here for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a while since my last post so I'll just jot down everything.

1 - Food hasn't improved much for me.......I've tried, Lord knows I've tried to taste what Korea has to offer in terms of food, BUT, unfortunately, my body is just not having it........I feel bad because everyone at school eats cafeteria food except for me, and they might start to think that I'm taking offense to their food.............but I'm nooooot!!!!!!!!!

2 - There are many more Nigerians living here than I ever expected....

3 - Seoul.....is rather an interesting city...........I guess I'm more of a nature person, and therefore prefer Chuncheon's natural attractiveness over Seoul's bright lights and crazy roads...............speaking of which.......

4 - People drive crazy in Seoul......and Chuncheon too.....I don't know how people can fly up and down extremely narrow alleyways like there won't be people in your way......

5- I've been sick since last Monday and it seems that I'm getting sicker today, my glands are swollen YET AGAIN.........I was told to expect this but, dang, I didn't think it would be this bad.....

6 - I was told by another teacher that I've lost some weight...........HALLELEU-YER!!!!!!!! I feel as though I have lost some weight, though not voluntarily..........but its a good thing anyhow!!!

7- They don't believe in soap or cleaning products here......their dish soap doesnt do much, they have their toilet paper outside of bathroom stalls in मान्य public restrooms............some places SELL toilet paper (I kid you not)

8- There is just way too much staring going on, not necessarily when I'm alone, but when two foreigners walk together (or heaven forbid, 3 or 4) then its ON.....You are a walking television show............its creepy at times. but mostly annoying..........I've learned to just go on with whatever I am doing......

9- I will hopefully get my hands on a dig. cam soon so that I can capture my life through photos and not feel pressured to write as much because things are getting a bit more hectic here and I will not have as much time to jot down my thoughts.................SO LOOK OUT FOR PICS, COMING SOON!!!!

10- I really, really, really, really, really, really appreciate the opportunity I got here in Chuncheon and all that comes with it..............My "apartment" is, yes, basically a room, BUT, I still have my own kitchen, and laundry room, a pretty decent bathroom, heat and hot water, a laundry.......and a computer which is my LIFE at the moment seeing that I don't have a phone and probably won't get one for a while.....So they only way for ppl to reach me is through email, or just drop by anytime you want to!!!!!!!!!!

11- My fav grade to teach are the 3rd and 5th graders because they actually LISTEN ........the 3rd graders are SUUUPER adorable too, thats a bonus!!

12- I miss my fam and really close friends now.........though I'm fighting it as much as possible cuz I will be here for a long time......................but I love ya'll!!!!! And I'd do anything to bring you guys here!

13- I know I promised earlier, but I will post up information on how I came about finding this job, and possible tips for those interested in taking the same path......I was extremely blessed to get this job through this girl who was finishing up her contract and her school needed a replacement, except she did the recruiting seeing that she was the only fluent English speaking person...............

One BIG advice is to research, research, research the HECK out of South Korea............try looking up blogs of those who are here (comme moi!) and see what their views are on the different cities and such................and come with a VERY open mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
